Each site of the temple is related to the marriage of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. Although Lord Vishnu is seated in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple with Mother Lakshmi and Bhudevi, other places in the temple are related to the marriage of Shiva-Parvati.
Akhand Dhuni
This is the main attraction of this temple. This temple was built in Tretayuga. The marriage of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati took place only after circumambulating this unbroken Dhuni. This fire has been burning for three ages, due to which it is called Triyugi temple, that is, unbroken Dhuni burning for three ages.
Brahma Kund
There are three Kunds situated in the temple, out of which one Kund is Brahma Kund. It is believed that Lord Brahma had bathed in this Kund before starting the marriage ceremony, after which this Kund was named Brahma Kund.
Vishnu Kund
The name of the second Kund located in the Triyuginarayan temple is Vishnu Kund. Lord Vishnu had bathed in this pool.
Rudra Kund
All the gods and goddesses had also come from heaven to witness the marriage of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. Bath was taken by all of them in Rudra Kund.
Pillar of Triyuginarayan Temple
A thin stick is tied in this temple. And it is believed that Lord Shiva got a cow in marriage. That cow was tied to this stick. This stick is still in the same place today.
Brahma Shila
The place where Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati got married in front of the temple has been named Brahma Shila.

When to visit Triyuginarayan temple?
Although you can visit this temple at any time of the year, many devotees do not like to come here during the winter months. This is because the doors of Kedarnath Dham are closed in winter. This temple is very close to Gaurikund, the base area of Kedarnath. That’s why the people who come here definitely come after Kedarnath.
Kedarnath is closed from the next day of Diwali in winter. After six months, the doors of Kedarnath Dham opened again on the day of Akshaya Tritiya which falls in the month of May. So if you are planning to visit Kedarnath along with Triyuginarayan Temple, then you should come here between the month of May to October.
